I liked that it was open, from the moment we walked in, it was spacious. I liked that the area was quiet.

1. It's not very comfortable. The lounge area consists of hard couches. My mum ended up laying more in the bedroom than sitting with us. 2. Making use of the kitchen was a schlep due to the fact that the stove/oven top didn't work and we had to carry the pots and pans and ingredients to the other part of the kitchen to make use of the gas stove instead. 3. When getting the keys, the receptionist told us that there is an increased level of crime and break-ins happen frequently. I was not at ease when night time came because both cars were standing outside. 4. There's a garage but we couldn't make use of it because it's filled with tables and mattresses, amongst other things. We didn't want to move other people's stuff in case we break it and lose the deposit. Again, if there's a garage but cannot be used, what's the point? 5. During the day, there was no weird cracking sounds in the roof/ceiling. But as soon as we went to sleep, there were loud cracking noises coming from the ceiling/roof that kept me and a few other family members awake. We had to go out to buy wax/silicone to fill our ears to block out the noise. I could still hear the cracking. Currently, I'm exhausted because of lack of sleep.

The house was amazing.

The shower door in the main bathroom kept coming off the rail. The property also could’ve provided more towels. Kids room could also do with a makeover to make the room feel more homely. The other two rooms are well presented.

The close proximity to the beach was great

I was dissapointed in the value for money - easter rates are naturally inflated but to arrive at a house with a broken outside table that when I sent the photos to the rental agent they did not know about it.... (we could not dine at this table as it was so damaged) The house is clearly not checked by the management company as the next morning I had to report a very badly blocked bathroom shower... to the point that the drains over flooded. The agent arranged the plumber to come out BUT I was expected to unlock the house to give them access. When you book a premium rate accomodation I dont expect to have to deal with plumbers / blocked drains etc on my weekend away... This should have been picked up prior to our check in. The house is nice enough but basics such as a coffee plunger where not in the house, nor where there suitable braai pans / equipment which you would expect from a beach side rental. One fan and three bedrooms is also a basic requirement when no aircon.

It was comfortable & the house had all the facilities one would need. It’s was easy walking distance to the beach.

After seeing the high rating for this house, we were definitely underwhelmed. It was nice but not sure why some people gave it a 10 rating!! Kitchen was a bit disjointed with the only working gas stove being in the scullery. The main stove was not in use. We also arrived to a filthy braai grill so had to scrub it clean ourselves to be able to use it. One fan in a house that sleeps 6, not great.

Nice and quiet. Close to the beach. Very spacious.
