Brackenburn Trout and Trail Retreat

Second time we've stayed at Brackenburn, in two different cottages. This one was also very spacious and had everything we needed. The trails are spectacular.

Lovely home tucked away in the mountains ! Lovely views, exceptional host

The accommodation itself was absolute stunning, everything you need is literally st your fingertips. The view on top of it all was just the cherry on the cake.

What's not to like? It was just cold because of the time of year and the fact that it's located next to a lake, but once the sun comes out all is good and well.

The place looked amazing and the staff were great.

I didn't like that we couldn't bath properly. The water got hot for a couple of seconds and then it got very cold. To make matters worse, it was cold there. On Saturday morning, a few people came to check the geyser and were in and out of the house trying to fix the geyser. It couldn't get fixed so we were given an urn with a 10l bucket. Imagine!. I had my elderly mum and aunty with me and they have to carry water to the bathroom despite PAYING for these facilities. This was extremely disappointing. On both the days we had to bath with the urn and 10l bucket. The roads are bad but we were warned about that prior and we didn't bother about that but the bathroom situation was NO NO.

La nature et la tranquillité sont les maître mot ici. Micky et sa femme sont des personnes adorables et accueillantes.

RAS Je conseille de mettre Roseta ou Nottingham road sur le GPS avant de mettre l’adresse de l’hôtel. Les 40 derniers km sont à faire avec prudence mais faisable.
