Corto Barese Apartment - Bari Centro

Easy self check in. Excellent communication with host.

The apartment is close to famous Bari Vecchia and there were enough kitchen facilities to prepare a meal. Check-in process was smooth with easy to follow instructions.

The advertisement says that includes free parking but it is actually the parking at the street and you pay the fee depending on the day and time to the city council. Also, you have to be very lucky to find a spot in the same block of the apartment. The apartment was quite smelly and needs some maintenance, bed and pillows are old and uncomfortable and we couldn't make the bedroom air conditioner work. They've put a note in the kitchen saying that we would be charged extra €30 if the apartment wasn't left cleaned and garbage taken outside. However, the kitchen wasn't clean when we arrived and they didn't provide refuse sacks, cleaning products or instructions about where to take the garbage. They would charge a late check-in fee if arrived after 10pm even though they would just open the main door remotely.

Nice and clean apartment. Good location (about 15 min walk to the center).

Maybe a better coffee machine.

Nothing, dirty with mold in the kitchen and the bathroom, plus very uncomfortable pillows.

The worst things were: neighborhood that looked like a south American favelas, criminals and ugly people everywhere, garbage in the street, smells, tremendous sounds. Then the flat is at the 4th floor and there is no lift, so it was a tragedy to bring up the suitcases (that you cannot leave in the car as they would be probably stolen given the people around). Finally the company that manages this property is terrible: they even put an alert of a fine of 30 euro (illegal for sure if i go to court) if you don’t wash the plates or throw the garbage. As if I do not pay already this in the service!! Only time in my life that I read such a nonsense!! Then, when asked for delaying half hour or a hour the check out, was even denied and the cleaner appeared at 10 sharp (we of course where ready to leave but it WAS NOT NICE). Ah I want to underlying 378€ for 3 nights in September! We were willing to spend so much because we were expecting a certain level, described by them in the booking description. It is a trap! Please avoid this place!
