York City Unique Apartment - Coffee Yard

Location was excellent and saved our legs from additional walking !

Location - During the day the location was perfect, could pop out and be in the centre of town, drop shopping bags back and not be too far from anything.

Location - At night the location was awful as the pub near the property was very noisy and playing loud music until the early hours. The courtyard could do with an outdoor working light

Clean, homely and good location for attractions. Nice comfy beds.

Noisy at night time, but I guess I should have considered this when booking a central location. I would have liked a full length mirror in the property and somewhere to hang a towel in the bathroom would have been useful. I felt it was overpriced compared with other accommodation with similar facilities. Overall a good stay though

It’s a little noisy of an evening but not to bad at all

The location is right in the city, we felt like we were staying in the heart of the city which was great. The house is also very traditional and we loved all the original features and really enjoyed the history of the building. The surrounding area was so lovely and we enjoyed the buzz of the area. The beds were clean and comfy with lovely soft and cosy bedding. It was nice and cosy and good decent hot shower.

The house could do with a real deep clean, it wasnt as clean as we would expect, the woodwork hadn't been cleaned in quite a long time with stains on doors / kitchen units. The floor in the sitting area had stains on it too and various items left on the rug, fake eyelashes etc. There were cob webs in every room. The furniture needs replaced, the drawers in the small bedroom are nearly falling apart. The small bedroom is very small, you are not able to sit up on once side of the bed, however for the size of the room there isnt a huge amount you can do, the bed itself was really comfy so still slept well. The outdoor court area is in need of some TLC, it was dirty and moss on the slaps makes it very slippy. A full length mirror is required - difficult getting ready for race day with no mirror. This all sounds negative but we did have a really good time at the house.

It is a magical place and genuinely had the best sleep I have ever had versus my own bed and much bigger than one expects. It is the perfect location to be tucked away into history in the centre of York with everything you need. The towels were fluffy and big and you are provided with dressing gowns and slippers (as no shoes in the house). The layout is perfection with so much natural light with gorgeous views every window you look out of. I didn't want to leave by the end of our stay.

With the price (£500+) for 2 nights, I would have expected some complimentary toiletries or a welcome gift for the price we paid for 2 people. Yet, York is expensive. For a two bed house all to yourself, perhaps I should not complain. It was so incredibly comfortable I wish I could have afforded to stay an extra night!!

We come to york at least once a year, stayed here for the first time, Lovely period place with mod cons, very comfortable, right in the centre, parking nearby, not too noisy during the day or night. Really enjoyed our stay. We ate out and only really came back to shower & sleep but such a lovely place that you can easily self cater in as they have everything.

One bedroom is so lovely and big, the other was lovely but not very big at all, can't be helped & we pulled the short straw as it was my sister & brother in laws birthday weekend, we let them have the bigger room. Living room is massive though & makes up for it. Wasn't so bad for us as we were only there to get showered & sleep.
