St Martins View

The apartment was a great size. Beds were comfortable and the location was fantastic.

I can’t say we didn’t like about the property. However, we couldn’t get the dishwasher to work and it might have been nice to just have a couple of lamps or options for cosy/warmer lighting. Not an issue at all, just a minor suggestion.

Location is excellent. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped. Furniture is all comfortable.

Key box awkward to open. Entrance shabby. No non-slip mat for shower. Central heating control box looks like a radio and could be labelled.

behind a nightclub so very loud on Friday and Saturday night, furnishings and finish a bit tired for the price

the place is close to the centre and the train station. it has everything you could need for a short trip. It s was difficult to contact staff when we realised there was no hot water in the place. However all fuse switches are marked well so it was easy to spot there was a problem with the fuse and we solved the problem ourselves.

Great location. Rooms very comfortable. Great facilities especially in the kitchen. Lovely welcome message. Big fluffy towels. Overall very happy with stay.

Key lock box and front door locks a little tricky to open, but got the hang of it. Bath filled up with water when taking a shower - perhaps a drain deblocker needed? Maybe black out blind needed in back bedroom as car park flood light is bright. These are just small things that could make it even better.

The location is great. Micklegate is an historic York cobbled street and the view at the front overlooking St Martin's Church is a welcome bonus. The Ackhorne pub, 2 minutes walk away down the wee lane opposite, is a little gem.

The access is at the rear of the property. There is an external metal staircase from the car parking area to the main door on the first (or second for North Americans) floor. Ok but not great after dark or in wet or frosty weather. But I guess it's one of the compromises that has to be made for an historic property much modified over decades if not centuries.

Location was excellent. The apartment was well presented and stylish.

The kitchen/living room were difficult to keep warm. The kitchen units and doors were poorly fitted. The decor in some areas was a little shabby and in need of updating.
