"Loved the apartment, Paula amazing, Altea and surrounding area had lots to offer and plenty of surprises."

10.0

Space indoors and outside - we loved the balcony for breakfast and the garden during the day. Very clean and comfortable. We used the washing machine and did some cooking - all equipment worked really well.

Nothing to report here. We did our research so knew about the tram and parking - approx 5 minutes from the apartment. No problems.

"Lovely stay, have booked to re visit"

9.0

Very central, lovely decor tastefully done. Paula is a great host, keeping in contact and very helpful

Not really a problem but if being picky everything gets covered in white specs, am guessing from when tram goes over the paint on walls flakes? Tram noise didn’t bother us.

"A bit noisy"

4.0

Close to beach and close to downtown. Very kind support

Please note that this listing is a private listing. (I.e. not a hotel or part of) All info mentioned below has been communicated with Booking.com and the host of the listing since my arrival in Jan 2024. This listing is the bottom part of a 2/3 stories building. Due to the geography the address of this apartment is on ground floor level ..and walking around (and up on the street) gives access to the also rented apartment ‘on top of this’. This is an introduction to the (for me) not so pleasant part of this listing. It is not my first stay in Altea. I come here for roadcycling, quietness, no hassle, an espresso and some good food. Hmmm how sometimes things can change. This apartment is situated in a non traffic small street in the center of Altea. Though still one street away (cross 1 street) from the beach. It has a medieval kind of appearance. Close to ‘where it happens’ and still away from it. Parking is footstep distance (public) as well as the train station. It contains all one can need in an apartment. Laundry machine, separate shower/ toilet, decent equipped kitchen and very comfortable bed. Airco / heater and a water tab that contains drinking water (no need for bottles) WiFi/ TV .. what else can one need here? A bit of quietness … as I mentioned previously, the apartment is the lower (street-)level of a big house. The upper level is also rented out where travelers are ‘living their normal holiday life’. The ‘medieval-kind-of’ construction contains a wooden ceiling, meaning a wooden floor (!) for the upper neighbors. Meaning a lot (I mean A LOT) of social level noise until 22:30 in the evening: Shower / bathroom use, heavily footsteps, chair-movements. It does not show this on the pictures @booking. My ‘early to bed, early to rise’ way of life got disrupted. The host was kind enough to address this with the travelers above .. some ‘ease’ was born. Second: The train comes by ‘heavily’ during morning-evening hours.

"Great location and a unique property."

10.0

A great walkable location to get to the beach boardwalk 1 direction and to old town the other direction. We loved the unique mix of open home traditional front and rarely experienced cave back half. Photos accurately represent property. We loved it.

"A comfortable and well located but full of character stay to explore and enjoy Altea and surrounds."

10.0

Apartment was spacious and well presented with all the amenities. The uniqueness of the property added to the pleasure of our stay in this hidden gem on the Costa Blanca. Parking was easy and close by. The host was exceptionally helpful and provided lots of suggestions for our stay.

"Excellent property, excellent host"

10.0

Just returned from 10 nights at the smaller house that makes up part of Casa de Agua. It is a fantastic large room with kitchen and seating area just inside the door and then up a couple of steps to the really large bedroom and bathroom area. A small covered seating area outside the front door which looks straight down a pedestrianised cobbled street to the main road and beachfront. Paula the host was really helpful and friendly throughout and the cleaning team did a great job as well. Excellent location, really handy for the beach, station and Old Town and really nice local people living on the street as well.

"Beautiful house!"

10.0

Paula is an amazing host, we loved the house and it was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. So many extra little touches that you don’t normally get with self catering. Very impressed. Noticed previous comments about the tram, but it wasn’t a problem for us and it lasts seconds.
