Appartamento La Maddalene

This flat is ideally located in Pisa. It was perfect for a short stay for 2 people!

Fabulous little apartment right in the heart of Pisa and extremely reasonably priced compared to other places we looked at. The host Gemma was always available and accommodated our late check in after a delayed flight. She provided detailed instructions on how to access the property and ensured she was always available if we needed anything. Apartment was perfectly suitable for two of us with a surprisingly comfortable bed (not always the case in some places). Kitchen is fully functional, including a kettle which is always important for us Brits who like a cuppa! Lol. Bathroom cupboard has an array of leftover toiletries from other guests which is always great if you’re missing something so we even donated a couple of our bits, including a wine bottle opener to the kitchen drawer. Apartment is a stones throw from the bridge which takes you into the ‘old town’ area of Pisa, which we much preferred for its quaintness. However, close by is the equivalent of a ‘High street’ full of shops and bars too. Train station is straight up the road, less than a 10 min walk with easy access into Florence and Rome should you fancy a day trip (which we did on both days). Would definitely recommend and stay again if we return to Pisa.

Hot, very hot. There is no AC and it was 28C in the room...

A lovely apartment, comfortable, spacious, very clean and organized, equipped with absolutely everything you need. Very good location, close to all points of interest in the city, with plenty of restaurants and cafes around, pedestrian street with shops and cafes is a two minute walk away.... We didn't use transport at all, we just walked; just from the airport and to the airport we went by train, and the journey took five minutes; we could have easily walked to the airport, but we didn't want to melt in the heat... I'm so happy we chose this wonderful location! It was also really nice that the host was waiting for us at the apartment and did us the great favor of giving us the apartment a few hours earlier than we should have! A very kind and lovely host; Gemma, we hug you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything! I highly recommend this location!

Situated in a quiet street just south of the Arno river. Easy walk to the train station, the town centre is about five minutes walk and the Tower and Cathedral about 15 minutes. Great choice of restaurants in the vicinity as well as a good supermarket. Gemma, the hostess was great. Very helpful and gave details of local area. Kept checking that all was okay.

Nice clean apartment with everything you needed in a good location. 5-10 mins walk from restaurants, 10mins from train station and only 15 mins from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The host (Gemma) checked a couple of times to see that everything was ok and was on hand if any problems, not that we had any.

The apartment is in a quiet area. There was no noise from the street. The street is not busy. The apartment is on the first floor. It was very clean and well equiped. We did not cook, there are lots of bars for breakfast and restaurants for eating in the surroundings, however if needed cooking is possible. There is coffee machine, coffee capsules, tea. The bathroom was very clean with nice mosaic design. There was everything disponible even makeup remover pads. Gemma is living in the neighboring apartment. She was very nice all the time. Our flight was delayed. We arrived in the evening. She explained us everything and even turned on the heating before our arrival. She assured us several times during our stay that if we need something or if something is not working correctly we just tell her or text her the message. Everything was perfect and flat is comfortable. I would come back if possible. Gemma is very nice. On our departure she even asked us if we want we can check out later.

The only thing is that there are probably thin walls between the other flats so we could hear neighbors talking in the morning, however evening and night was quiet.
