High standard, clean, comfy, brilliant views

Lock box was a bit of a fiddle but a very minor thing

Almost everything! The view of the river and boat activity is fantastic!

The shouting at 3-5am most nights, from a few late night 'revellers' gathering across the river at King's Staith. (This is partly encouraged by the permanently located picnic-style bench/tables outside the King's Arms pub. The neighbouring Waterfront restaurant puts its tables and chairs out each morning - they aren't available for the late nighters to use and disturb residents and visitors alike.)

The location was very convenient for several reasons. Super close to the bridge that gets you to York City Centre. Also, literally around the corner is a grocery store that had any thing and everything you could need (a morning coffee, snacks, dinner materials, toiletries, anything you forgot to pack, etc). Also, very close to several bus stops that allowed me to explore more than I could reach by foot. About a 10 minute (if that) walk from the train station. You should not have the need to spend money on a taxi to get from the train to your apartment. It also seems like it is one of the few locations for lodging that has an elevator. It was nice to avoid wrestling with my luggage up multiple flights of stairs to get in and out.

The shower was cold - no matter what I did, the water would not warm up. Hot water aside, the facilities were great. No complaints about the water pressure in the shower or the cleanliness of the bathroom. Seems like an issue that the host can address easily.

Larger than the photos are able to show. Furnishings and finish of apartment were of a high standard. Kitchen was very well equipped and appliances were to a high spec. Small touches such as milk and biscuits made it special. Everything very clean and tidy.

Perfect location, lovely view over the river. Little hard to find initially, especially with a car. Apartment very comfortable and clean.

Partitions very thin between apartments, I could hear clearly every time next door moved around, or had their washing machine on.

This property is amazing is every term. The location, style, size,cleanliness of the place couldn’t have been better. We felt this was a gem 💎

Beautiful flat in the river, lovely view and close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Easy to get to visitor attractions. The flat had everything we needed. I would love to stay here again.

Appartement très bien situé, avec jolie vue. J'avais peur du bruit depuis les bars de l'autre côté de la rivière, mais en réalité c'est très calme. Les seuls bruits viennent des planchers qui craquent dans l'immeuble mais ce n'est jamais dérangeant. L'appartement est propre, bien décoré, clair et agréable. La salle de bains est très bien, bonne douche. Le canapé lit est OK comme lit d'appoint mais pas pour plus de 2 nuits. La cuisine est fonctionnelle mais je l'ai peu utilisée. J'ai un peu regretté l'absence d'huile ou condiments qui sont parfois présents dans d'autres locations. Pour quelques jours on n'a pas toujours envie d'acheter les bases et c'est un "petit plus" très apprécié. En revanche il y avait du détergent pour le lave-linge (et le lave-vaisselle) et ça c'était très bien ! Je recommande vivement pour un séjour à York.

Le seul point faible, mais sans doute très personnel, était que le lit/matelas ne me convenait pas et je me suis levée tous les matins avec un dos endolori. Le canapé n'était pas beaucoup mieux. Seul le fauteuil était confortable.
