I liked the property close enough to the centre of York

Maybe the step Getting in to the upstairs flat is a bit small

The property was really clean and well kept, we loved the decor! We came to York to visit the Christmas markets for my boyfriend’s birthday, Helen had left a balloon out for us which was a lovely surprise! Would love to come back and stay at Helen’s place again!

It’s a little bit further out from the city centre, but if you’re happy to walk it’s a nice route so we didn’t mind

Location

No cafetiere - would be easier than the pod machine. No actual prosecco supplied!

Very clean and comfortable, in a good location for local shops and a short 40 min walk to York racecourse and Town Centre.

Although called Prosecco Palace with many pictures, place mats, glasses and objects promoting Prosecco, there were no full bottles! 😀

Beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom, furnishings and quirky fun decorations. Bright atmosphere from natural light. Fully contained kitchen appliances. Large fridge. Free and effective WiFi. Great attention to the little things like the provision of tea towels, washing up liquid, coffee pods, milk cartons, cooking oil etc. Quiet location. Wide range of shops and cafe bars within 5 minutes walk. Felt like being home from home. Quick and friendly communications with Helen the host. Highly recommended. N. Robinson ( Chester UK)

Not a complaint but be aware that the staircase is rather narrow (to be expected in a terraced property of this age) so care is needed when ascending and descending especially with luggage. Also be careful with the small door step into the street.
