Few Steps to the Beach

Casa super bem equipada tem tudo o que é preciso. Piscina muito boa, 10 min a pé da praia.

A limitação da água. E necessita um sobre colchão para o sofá cama.

Few steps to the beach is a lovely place to stay. I stayed here for a week with my Mam. The apartment was really nice well equipped and the swimming pool was a great addition. The beach was about a 10min walk and the main town centre to Alvor was a 15min walk. You could reach the town centre within 4 mins with an uber which is a great price in Portugal. Maria was lovely and very accommodating. She let us leave our luggage at 11am although check in was not until 3pm. Thanks a million for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back again!

A localização do imóvel é muito boa: está a 5 min a pé da praia. Apesar de o prédio estar próximo da estrada, é bastante sossegado. O colchão era muito confortável.

A casa estava aparentemente limpa, mas o chão não tinha sido bem aspirado e lavado. Para quem gosta de andar descalço em casa, foi decepcionante sentir areia nos pés logo à chegada. De uma maneira geral, o pó não tinha sido limpo e encontrámos pés de cereja nas cadeiras da cozinha e no móvel da entrada. Tendo em conta que pagamos uma taxa de limpeza, esta parte não correspondeu à expectativa. Há um balde disponível, bem como aspirador, vassoura e esfregona, mas a esfregona já precisava de ser trocada e o aspirador deixava um cheiro forte a pó/mofo. A manutenção destes equipamentos pode ser melhorada.

Lovely apartment, it had everything we needed. The host were very helpful and accommodating. Great location, close to the beach and the town.

The apartment is home from home. Everything one needs. Easy contact with owners. Toddlers would be very safe out on the patio. Beach nearby. as is supermarket.

No proper footpath for walking into centre of Alvor. When dropped by taxi, we were over an hour trying to find location. People tried to help but didn't know where the apartment was. If giving address, start with Casa da Praia, not with few steps to the beach.

Pool is huge and refreshing. Pool area is nice (apart from the broken sun loungers). Spacious living room. Kitchen well equipped. Bed is comfortable. 7 mins walk to the beautiful beach (15 to the center/ restaurants). Parking for free and spots always available. 2 sun umbrellas and 2 beach chairs and some toys for kids available.

It is really noisy and neighbours are quite loud. Half of the sun loungers are broken. They are pretty uncomfortable. No pads available. No dish washer available. Advice: Dont leave/ forget your belongings unattended at the pool, otherwise they might get stolen (as our blankets).

It is a spaceious and quite a comfortable apartment. There is a big terrace, beach umbrellas, and equipment for your use such as a washing machine, coffee express, etc. The host was very nice to help quickly and she was very friendly. There's a parking space outside of the apartment and the area is closed and feels safe.

The pictures unfortunately don't show the terrace as a whole. The groundfloor makes it less nice than it looks on the attached photographs. Above you, there are a lot of balconies and people looking at you. It's a very strange feeling. The neighbours are also not necesserily quiet. The few steps on the beach are more than "a few" and very, very dangerous. You have to walk alongside a busy street with people driving like crazy and there's no sidewalks, nor pedestrian crossings and there's a crossroads to pass. I don't recommend it for people with children. At this price, apartments are of higher standards even in France or Italy. I travel a lot and was rather upset by the lack of a dishwasher or larger drier. It's not a place for a longer stay. 2-3 days might be ok.

PERFECT communication from the hosts & place is real to the pictures.
