Malt Shovel Court with Free Parking

The free parking was brilliant as parking in york is extortionate. The location and apartment were perfect and we had a lovely stay.

Our hot water went off and as instructed we didn't interfere with boiler settings. However could have been easily rectified if it had been in the apartment information pack. This was reported and acknowledged by staff.

Location, facilities, size, cleanliness, basically everything.

A clothing dryer would be a nice addition. Most of all we had to leave.

The property was exceptionally clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, I don’t usually sleep well in unfamiliar beds but as soon as my head hit the pillow I was gone! Lounge was spacious with plenty of comfortable seating and free WiFi if needed Kitchen very well equipped everything you need is provided, previous guests had left tea and coffee, so we did the same. Location is perfect just a short walk to the shambles and the city centre, with plenty of eateries around, the red lion pub across the road doesn’t look anything special but the food is tasty and reasonably priced, and staff friendly, Parking was a god send in fact didn’t use the car at all while there, as the location was perfect, fantastic value for money would highly recommend

The only thing I didn’t like was the creaky floor boards ( but that’s just me being finicky) and could do with a shaving mirror in the bathroom

Location excellent and good parking.

This property has two very steep stair cases and not suitable for people with mobility issues. The description on booking does not state this. Please do not book this if you have mobility issues.
