LovelyStay - Cozy 1BR Flat in Alvor with AC and Balcony

Check in time in my opinion was very late. I’ve stayed in Alvor many times and have never had such a late check in. When we were eventually able to check in, the code to the door did not work. I messaged the number provided and they did not reply until an hour later when we had got sorted. I rang the number and had to ring at least 4 times before getting through to anyone. We were then told to use the emergency key in the lock box, which was not there when we checked. We had to wait for a member of staff to come and provide us with a key. Having arrived at the property at 4pm we did not actually get into the property until after 5pm. We had had a very long travel day and this was just a big inconvenience. I think if you’re going to use self check in and a digital lock is going to be used, you need to ensure it actually works before allowing guests to check in. Throughout our stay we found the bathroom quite often had a foul smell. I’m not sure if it was from the drains etc but it was quite pungent at times. Other things to note; providing more than one roll of toilet paper would be better when people are staying for a week.

Well Appointed , 15 minutes walk into Town Centre . Value for money.

Clean and set in a quiet residential area

Although quite detailed instructions were sent prior to arrival it was still a bit tricky to find in the dark. A kettle would’ve been nice as we didn’t have stuff with us to use the coffee maker.
