Old Co Op House -Forest of Dean

Perfect location for the activities we'd planned: Go Ape, Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves etc. The apartment had everything we needed for our short stay and what we paid reflected what we got. The view over the hills was spectacular. The owner gave very clear instructions for how to find and enter the property, we had no problems at all. The milk and biscuits were a nice touch, as were the local activity and takeaway leaflets.

Nothing I didn't like but a few suggestions for improvement. It would be good to add a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on. The bar stools for the breakfast bar are a bit too bulky, making it very difficult to get in and out comfortably.

Perfect location for exploring the Forest of Dean. As a solo traveller, it suited me down to the ground. The apartment had everything I needed and more. The lounge was cosy with wonderful views over the Forest. Bedroom was comfortable with equally great views.

Neighbour had been playing TV loud during my first two nights, which was disturbing me. However, this was quickly resolved when I messaged the host. I met the neighbour a few days later, and he was very apologetic and there was no malice. So in all this is only a very minor complaint.

Really lovely and cozy room. Bathroom was nice and spacious too which is a change considering a lot of holiday apartments have really tiny bathrooms! Bedding and towels were all nice and clean and in general it was nice and tidy. The property is also really close to a lot of lovely walking trails which was great.

The blinds were a little outdated and a bit grimy at the bottom of them. Behind the TV stand looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time either but this is only nitpicking. The kettle and toaster also could do with a bit of a clean too I noticed. Although this cannot be helped, the traffic on the main road was busier than I thought it would be and did keep me and my partner up on both nights.

Good kitchen facilities. Sofa comfy. Reasonable view from window. liked the Co-op in the village (but not the Spar).
