The location was centrally placed and only 6 min walk to tourist buses. Uphill walk with large suitcases may not be easy for the elderly. Very clean apartment and great shower

Water in kitchen was not hot for doing dishes. The entrance way of the building smelt like smokers had used the foyer - however this was not evident in the apartment

Location was perfect. Apartment was bright and airy.

No WiFi. TV was horrendous. No signal so all channels were jumpy and blurred. Communal area - as you walk in - the decor was very poor. Shower hose way too short so we got drenched while hair washing. The host WhatsApp me prior to our arrival, however have not had heard from him since not even to ask how our stay was

Very beautiful apartment with all facilities. It is actually bigger than looks in the picture. Very good location, from the Ryde ferry it is 5 min walk and all the bus stations to go anywhere in the isle of Wight are within 10min walk. There is Co-Op and Iceland shop within 5min walk so you can have all the stuff from there.

Location: minutes away from the beach and the high street for shops/cafés. Roomy and spacious with high ceilings and lovely and warm at night. Communication: although we didn't meet the owner he was very fast to respond to our queries and was even kind enough to let us drop our luggage earlier and come back at check in time. Overall the apartment has lots of potential it just needs a bit more TLC and it could become a premium rated accommodation, you can even see the sea from the bedroom's window so that alone can increase the value of the apartment. Information about parking: for those that are wondering, the parking restrictions outside the building are resident permit holders or 2 h parking between 8am to 6pm with no return. Just a couple of minutes walk up the road the signs are 4h parking between 8-6 with no return for 4 hours and there is also a paid car park by the co-op that charges £4.60 for 4 h parking(you can get £2.50 knocked off the parking if you spend £20 in the co-op). We used a combination of parking on the street and the co-op and it worked out pretty ok.

Could be better maintained and better furnished. Previous travellers mentioned faults like bathroom hole, haphazard cutlery (we had one big serrated knife for food preparation), uncomfy beds, faulty bathroom lights and clogged up drains a year or so ago (just scroll through the reviews) so those could have all been fixed. In addition to that the mini fridge bottom door was broken so less space for us to put things in. It's an old building with its own personality, creaky floors, pigeons in the attic (could hear nesting and new chicks sounds coming through the bathroom hole in the wall) and I appreciate not much can be done overall for the building, but, the inside, could definitely do with a new lick of paint and better maintenance of existing facilities. In addition to that installing some black out curtains as young families may get their kids to bed before it's fully dar outside could be very helpful to make the room perfect for bedtime.

Very nice apartment with a great location, just a short walk from Ryde Pier and Hoverport. Rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean. Overall, ideal for a solo traveller like myself.

Not a major factor during my stay but Wifi would have been great to have, to avoid mobile data roaming.

I was happy with everything
