Fairfield Cottages

Fairfield was absolutely worth it 🤍 Waking up to the most breathtaking mountain sunrise was unreal. The place was spotless, the beds were warm and super comfortable, and we really enjoyed the private hot tub and pool. Definitely wouldn’t mind booking the bungalow again — such a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

A beautiful serene location - remote and tranquil. A hidden gem. Loved the indoor fireplace especially on a rainy weekend. Had all the little extras including electric blankets and aircon.

We arrived after dark so was a bit tricky to get to the property. Tip - try to check in before dark.

Very private and quiet. Comfy beds and everything you need is there. The only thing I did not like was the braai area is not rain protected and the chairs around the fire are really difficult to get out of at my age. lol

Wir haben 2 Tage im Klipspringer Cottage verbracht. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es gibt Kaffee, Ter, Rusks und alle notwendigen Dinge wie Salz, Pfeffer, Öl … Die Betten (wir haben nur die Doppelbetten benutzt) sind sehr komfortabel. Es gibt einen „Innengrill“ im Wohnzimmer. Leider sorgt der dafür, dass der Raum ziemlich nach Rauch riecht. Uns hat das nicht sehr gestört, da wir uns meistens draußen aufgehalten haben. Es gibt es draußen eine Dusche und Badewanne und auch eine separate Toilette. Die Unterkunft ist auf einer Obstfarm. Um zur Rezeption / Büro zu kommen, fährt man von der Hauptstraße ca. 2 km Schotterstraße. Kommt an ein Gate, das mit Remote Control geöffnet werden kann. Von der Rezeption aus, geht es dann nochmal ca 1 km weiter zu den Cottages. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Natur pur! Vielleicht etwas einsam. Die Kommunikation bezüglich des Check-Ins / -Outs verlief problemlos über Mail und SMS. Wir hatten wenig persönlichen Kontakt, aber Riane wäre immer erreichbar gewesen

Wenn es stark regnet, kann es sein, dass man etwas warten muss, bis der Wasserspiegel wieder gesunken ist, bevor man die Brücken passieren kann.

The view, the seclusion. It was cozybabd private, the staff were great, place was clean with all the amenities excluding a hairdryer.

The fireplace was conjoined, so if you made a fire outside, the smoke would funnel back into the house.

A working fruit farm at the foot of the Witzenberg mountains. We stayed in the Mountain Spring Cottage, and the water was sweet like nectar. There’s even a bath built into the rocks outside, where you can soak in the beauty and peace of the surrounding farmland and stunning mountains. The farmhouse has thick walls that keep the heat out, making it cool and comfortable at night. There’s also a pool, a large trampoline, sunbeds, a hanging mat, lawns, and shady trees, shared with two other houses a short walk away. The landlady even brought us a big bag of fresh fruit from the farm. They are clearly farmers with vision and care, with beautiful workers’ houses and even a crèche for the children. The farm is largely self-sustainable, generating its own solar electricity and drawing water from the springs. They’ve also built a few dams on the property. An unforgettable stay — we will definitely return
