Ferry View

The place was conveniently located next to everything and not even a 5 minute walk to either the train station or the ferry. We were given plenty of towels. Bedding was comfy. When I contacted the owner about only having 1 toilet roll for three people for 4 nights, he dropped more off right away. Lots of good appliances in the kitchen like a microwave and toaster and plenty of plates and bowls to use. The flat was very warm.

Because it's right on the high street it was very noisy, even at night with all the traffic and pubs round about, so you definitely need ear plugs. The place looks very tired and run down. Could do with redecorating to freshen it up. The curtains in one of the bedrooms had stains on it and the edges of the floor in the bathroom and kitchen need a good clean, as it's all black around the skirting board. It is good for the price though and a good base.

Unfortunately the boiler broke so we had no hot water or heating, the host arrived when I rang them and showed me how to top up the boiler manually with pressure when we needed heating or hot water. Promised an engineer but he advised none available. So each morning woke up with no heating.

Location was great. Handy for everything.

Flat very tired could do with upgrading. Does however require a deep clean. Cobwebs everywhere. The light in the living room very dirty. Couch was not comfortable as parts torn and felt as though sitting on a hill. Marks on carpets all over the flat. Did not cook in flat as whole kitchen needed a good scrub. Microwave was disgusting. Bathroom - needed scrubbed from top to bottom. Had to clean the bath before using. Towels in bathroom had not been changed (the one behind the door) was filfy. Windows all needing cleaned inside and out. No contact with the host on arrival or on departure. Would've been nice to show some good customer service to check if all OK. If flat was cleaned would go again as had fantastic time. For what we paid very disappointed.

Very clean had everything we needed from towels to hair dryer iron washer dryer well thought of for self catering view and location amazing places to eat out locally right on the door step it will definitely be the one we will rent again and again

Disappointed it was new year and had no wine or Prosecco glasses had to drink out fizz from a pint glass
