Gallowgate Square Apartments

Very close to Largs Town centre

It was not very clean. Dust and cobwebs throughout. Beds very basic and and poor quality mattress. .

Bed was clean and comfy as was the flat in general but apart from that, disappointing stay not for me.

NO PARKING I was told there was, & road & pavement were very narrow so even trying to drop off luggage etc was a nightmare as other cars could not get past and it was one way to move & let them past & you had to go round in a big circle to get back & try again absolute nightmare esp as I'm a blue badge holder. I would have thought a dishcloth & tea towel would have been standard & included in the kitchen but no & I had to go buy them myself. Street window was to high to reach & close as it was noisy outside and a little step up would be an idea to buy again troublesome for anyone but as I have disabilities was a nightmare. Bathroom toilet seat is loose & needs fixed and signs of mould which has just been painted over to hide. Kitchen sink blocked, again I bought a little plunger & unlocked it myself.

The apartment was great for the weekend, location is spot on and so much do within walking distance. Had a great time combing the beaches and across in Millport. Very handy location for popping back to the toilet or to change kids etc.

cobwebs everywhere next to door/windows, let me make this clear the flat was CLEAN! Just needed a quick trip round with the duster to catch those webs, The noise polution from the pubs close by was noticable however they do close at a reasonable hour so again, no major issue for us. The fact the front of the building is missing some guttering unfortunately creates a bit of a waterfall the second any rain starts was definitely annoying though.

Location, central and quiet Everything we needed was there. Good shower. Plenty of space

The double bed wasn’t comfortable. Could feel the springs through mattress.

Uncomfortable beds with what looked like unironed bedding that hadn't been changed and no mattress or pillow protectors, needs a good deep clean in the apartment with the bunk beds in hall (our other apartment was in a much better condition) broken blind lets in street light at night, dirty kitchen utensils. There were other issues that the owners have been made aware of. My family and I could not stay a second night despite booking for two nights and two apartments as it was not up to the standard we usually expect from these types of accomodation.
