Villa Volga

Villa Volga is very nice place with helpful and friendly host. We had a room with private bathroom and the access to fully equipped shared kitchen with private fridge assigned to each room. The area is calm and it's close to the centre. It's a great place to stay when you come to Jelsa!

The female owner was the only good point I could think of.

I booked this property using my Credit Card but on my arrival they asked for Cash which was the 1st shocking exp for me as there was no such info provided by the owner before my arrival. The bathroom was so small that only one person can enter at a time and the wash basin is the smallest I have ever seen. when you wash face , half of the water spills on the floor. Also there were no body wash or shampoo given. The bedroom window was not sound proof, I could not sleep until late night because of outside noise ( music & neighbor's talk ). The kitchen was shared and there were no pan to cook & also no oil. We also saw Spider web & small spiders inside the kitchen. This property is very high in the mountain and if you are having luggage & no car then it will be very difficult to reach there. Last but not least the male host is VERY RUDE & Arrogant and I had a very bitter experience with him during my stay.

Nice location about 5min walk from city center. Everything in apartment was functional and it was very clean. Free parking was available about 2 flights of stairs below apt. We went in preseason so there were no crowds, traffic or noise and the weather was extremely nice springtime. Hosts were very polite and helpful. They live on premises.

Toilet was leaking, some lightbulbs were burned out, showerhead was full of limescale. Doorhandles and door were showing signs of being worn out and squeaky. In this day and age of technology you usually lug around your laptops and cellphones etc. and these things need place to charge so I would warmly suggest putting some extra electricity plugs for charging. Basically some little things which somebody might not even notice but they can go long way in improving overall experience of accomodation and are easy to install/replace.

The kindness of the owner, the aptt was really clean and had EVERYTHING available in the kitchen. This was the 2st place in croatia with a coffee machine. The owner is really responsive and helped with everything we needed. Thank you gordon
