The Cobbles Inn Apartment

Great location, comfortable bed, well equipped apartment.Great power shower

Entrance courtyard could do with a spruce up. Small windows and adjacent buildings meant the rooms were dark and a light was needed, even during the day. The windows could do with some maintenance. The stairs were challenging.

The location was fabulous, right in town centre. Beds very really comfortable with nice bedding.

The apartment is spacious, well furnished and ideally located off the main town square, a very short walk from all amenities in Kelso, which is a charming town providing facilities for a wide area. It would have served as an ideal base for a much longer stay, and for a larger group, but still met our overnight needs perfectly. The bathroom and kitchen were well appointed and the sitting room more than big enough for all requirements.

I was sorry to find that The Cobbles pub itself is shut on Monday evenings but The Rutherford micropub around the corner more than compensated. We soon learned not to trust advertized closing times on other establishments (e.g. the chip shop) and the barman's assessment that "Kelso is closed on Mondays!" wasn't far from the truth. This was slightly odd, given the Tour of Britain set off in the morning, for which town was packed. It also meant that parking on site was unavailable (not a major problem), but under normal circumstances the convenient car park would further accentuate this is a very handy base for exploring the Borders.

Great apartment in the centre of town, nice comfy beds and a very good shower. Would definitely recommend and rebook again when in Kelso.

The 31 stairs were a bit challenging 😳
