Peholdgut - Natururlaub am Berg

Beautiful location quite high up with amazing views of the mountains. It snowed but there was no problem getting up the road. Loads of walks straight out of the property and skiing 15 mins away. Lofer is a lovely little village.

It was a lovely spacious apartment with tasteful decor, very homely and comfortable. We were able to have a real fire which made it very cosy in the evenings. It was well kitted out with also a Smart TV, dishwasher, good sized fridge/ freezer. The beds were very comfortable, great spacious bathroom with a fabulous shower. The mountain views were outstanding, great outdoor seating on the wonderful terrace. A quiet location where you only hear the birds and water flowing from the river/falls. The apartment is very much out of the way so you do need a car, we hired a car from the airport for our whole trip so that was ok. Nearby Lofer (8 mins), is useful with all the amenities, where there is also the cable cars up to the hills if you want a trip. The hosts are lovely and friendly, we had complete privacy as the apartment is the whole of one floor of the house. We did lots of sightseeing, top locations Hallstatt is a must see, Salzburg City, Werfen Ice Caves, Gollinger Waterfalls. We loved staying at this apartment, loved Austria and would highly recommend it.

The weather was unfortunately not on our side! I would suggest to the host to maybe add some more items in the kitchen, but it was enough to cover cooking. I would also suggest that being a 2 bedroom property the sofa would be a struggle to fit 4 people on. It was ideal for 2.
