Golden Sand

The location was great, with walking distance to the beach. The pool area was very nice and quiet, great for relaxing if you were tired of the sand from the beach. Rooms were a nice size with balconies and drying racks. The location is great, but we ended up renting a car after learning that any taxi to or from Naxos town was going to be a flat 30 euro fare each time. They have easy, spacious parking on the property.

For a beachside hotel, I also hoped I'd get fresh, dry towels each day or have a place to get extra/fresh beach towels. It's too humid outside overnight, so beach towels didn't get dry, meaning you'd have wet towels the next day. We also did not get fresh bath towels and they were often still damp between use. I booked because the location had a restaurant and bar, but both closed at 8pm, around dinner time, so we had to go elsewhere for dinner and drinks and walk home in the dark, which can be quite dark along the beach road. Drinks were a little pricey, compared to elsewhere on our stay. It wasn't bad, just unexpected. There is no staff onsite after 8pm, so if you have any needs after that time, you are on your own unless you call their emergency number. Beach chairs close to the water were for use with a fee, which seemed steep for short-term use (like just a couple hours in the morning with no one else around!) We originally thought they would be free, given we spent a certain amount at the bar/restaurant. That said, there was absolutely no service by the water for food or beverages, so you pay for a chair and then have to walk to the poolside if you want anything. Meanwhile, the neighboring property had nice chairs and attentive beach service. This property is nice, but I fear that they are falling behind the competition and are cutting services to save costs, not realizing that people actually will pay more if they offer more.

To był już trzeci pobyt w tym hotelu. Same plusy od lokalizacji po czystość i przemili właściciele. Mimo wcześniejszego przybycia niż zadeklarowałam otrzymałam szybko pokój i zaproszenie na śniadanie. To był bardzo miły gest. Dziękuję jeszcze raz .

The receptionist was very helpful and gentle. The room was always clean. Very nice beach within few steps.

Breakfast was very poor.

Υπεροχη περιοχή η "ΠΛΑΚΑ", σε πολύ καλο σημείο το ξενοδοχείο, ΠΕΝΤΑΚΑΘΑΡΟ, με πετσετες για τις ξαπλωστρες στην παραλία και την πισίνα του ξενοδοχείου να μας περιμένουν στο δωμάτιό μας. Η Νάξος ειναι ενα νησί πλουσιο σε γεωργια και κτηνοτροφια. Θα ηθελα τα προϊόντα του νησιού, να είναι τα μόνα στον μπουφέ του πρωϊνού μας.
