Narva Castle Rooms

The room was nice, the castle tour was pretty cool, and the location was right on the Russian border. Sweet sights and sounds. Town is fair but we were there for the castle.

There was no running water. I was really disappointed by this. We had to carry our bags quite far across unpaved gravel (they were doing construction).

Room was nice and cozy! Very fun experience in Narva - our kids loved staying in the castle! We loved the chance to explore the Northern yard and have a campfire.

Staying over the holiday weekend was not ideal - we had to be let in and out by the guard since the museum was actually closed. The guard didn't seem to mind, but it made it less convenient for us.

When would you ever get the experience of staying in a medieval castle in Winter ? Pricey but worth every penny. The Museum offers the opportunity to stay in buildings in the northern court of the castle. The walls are very thick and the heating well designed and effective. The rooms are simply furnished in a medieval manner and are perfect. Everything necessary was there, including a simple breakfast. You are left overnight as the sole inhabitant. It is a revelation to realise that life in a castle in the middle ages could be both comfortable and satisfying, providing of course, there was no trouble brewing across the river.... I should add the that it is possible to bring your car into the castle court, providing the securest parking in Estonia.

Part of the fort complex, it was a unique stay. we had the whole place to ourselves in the evening. The museum staff who checked us in were great.

Our stay was great! The rooms was very clean, and it was a fun blend of modern and old world charm. Location was easy to find, and the staff were very pleasant. We could not have asked for a better experience.

The Location can't be beat! You are literally staying in the Castle grounds and knowing a bit about the history is so interesting. They allowed me to go through the Castle Museum for free!

It would have been nice to have a small fridge so that the breakfast could have included yogurt and milk for cereal. I stayed at the end of September and it was cold in the front room area.
