Great location. Easy walk to the steam clock, the music box store, and that end of the main walking street. The flat was clean and very comfortable. Heater warms up the rooms pretty fast. There are closable sliding doors to the bedroom (though the bedroom does get chilly in the winter if the doors remain closed). Beds are big enough for two adults and two kinds and can be moved apart or together. You do need to climb across one bed to get to a spacious closet. The washing machine can also dry clothes and there was a drying rack as well...perfect for cleaning (and keeping luggage weight down) after spring skiing.

The building is right near a train track and, though the apartment is on a higher floor, you can still hear trains go by. That said, we quickly got used to the occasional rumble (the noice was nothing more than what you might get from traffic in a bigger city and it was only every once in a while).

The location was quiet and the room was just right to fit 4 pax. ideally 2-3 will be btr.

Not clean, The bedsheets were dirty when we check in. There are many strands of hairs, at least 6 long strands of hairs on the bedsheets. the bedsheets were dirty and crumpled. They did not change the bedsheets for the new check in. The house is extremely small. toilet doors, washer door and fridge doors opens the wrong way. the two beds were squeezed into the tiny apartment room, hence no space to manoeuvre. The mattresses were all sinking into the beds, you can feel all the springs when you lie on them. the mattresses were worse than the ones in a army barracks.

small compact apartment with all essentials in. there’s only 1 heater but it’s sufficient. despite earlier review that the apartment may be cold. it is not. walking distance to the Otaru shopping street.

out of the 6 properties that I stay over past 14 days, I must say this apartment check in is the most stringent. or it could be a communication issue.
