Location, quite.

The bed was noisy, woke up often during night.

The location was perfect, we didn’t have any breakfast

A little more natural light would improve the overall effect, but it was not a problem for us

Location, fixtures and fittings, coffee machine , washing machine all perfect

Great communication with the owner and effortless check-in and out. Super historic center location. Wonderful star-vaulted architecture.

Unhelpfulness of the landlord Apartment dirty and dated WiFi Unfortunately, the DIMORA BAROCCA Apartment Irene did not meet my expectations, especially given its 9+ rating. This is the first time my impressions are so much at odds with earlier reviews. I even suspect there may have been a change in ownership since those reviews were written. My initial disappointment occurred before our arrival. Although the owner was responsive, he was not particularly helpful. For instance, the listing advertised private parking, which proved misleading. The owner directed us to a public parking area, which is approximately 600 meters away, not the 300 meters claimed. Navigating cobbled streets with luggage is quite challenging. Despite multiple inquiries, my requests for a temporary pass to drive into the ZTL zone or for assistance (even for an additional fee) with luggage transport went unanswered. Upon arrival, the apartment itself was another letdown. Positioned on the ground floor, both the entrance and the sole window face the street directly. While several layers of locked grills likely ensure security, they also create a stifling sense of confinement. Opening the window shutters compromises privacy, as it leaves you exposed to the street. While previous reviews noted that the apartment was dated, I was unprepared for the extent of disrepair. Many surfaces are peeling, and some items are broken. The furnishings and utensils were of low quality and not particularly pleasant. Most concerning, however, was the cleanliness. Contrary to claims of immaculate conditions, I found the apartment lacking. While the central areas were clean, corners and cupboards had accumulated significant dust and grime. The pillowcases seemed unwashed from previous guests, prompting us to use the on-site washing machine. The bathroom ceiling is outright moldy, making showers unpleasant. The WiFi did not work at all, and mobile reception was poor.
