La Marinella

Het is zalig vertoeven in La Marinella. Het appartement is mooi ingericht met alle faciliteiten. Het zwembad is zeer verzorgd en het uitzicht op de zee is adembenemend. Saverio is een vriendelijke gastheer die het verblijf nog aangenamer maakt.

Il nostro monolocale era molto carino e ben arredato. Frigo, lavatrice e armadio con grucce. Kit di cortesia completo. Pulizia impeccabile. Comunicazione con l'host veloce. Sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa da tutta la struttura, che include anche la piscina e un comodo parcheggio.

Il residence si sviluppa sul tornante della strada che scende al mare, potrebbe esserci del rumore in alta stagione (non si sente niente dalle camere però, solo se si sta in piscina).

The property had beautiful views of the Marinella. The balcony and the pool were good areas to relax. Saverio was very accommodating, nothing was too hard. It was great to have a washing machine and not having to use the laundromat. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would return in the future.

If I have to be honest the bed was a little hard, but other than that there isn’t too much negative to say.

I booked this at the last minute, so there was a little confusion when I arrived. But Saverio soon showed up and set everything right. Once I got the larger apartment with a sea view (which is what I booked) I was very pleased. The kitchen was fine. The view was terrific back towards Messina.

The room is a little sparse on decoration. This is more of a long-stay residence than an overnight stop.

After a two day journey from Tirol we arrived in Palmi after driving through an exciting and powerful rainstorm along the Calabrian coast. We wove our way down to the sea cliff in the darkness and arrived at an impressive gate which had been opened by our Host. Below the Olive trees to the left was a row of roof covered parking spaces. To the right we could see the impressive Residence La Marinella shining through the rainy night. Our Host greeted us in English and led us down the elegantly curved marble staircase to the middle level of the Residence where we could also see the swimming pool glowing in the night. Saverio checked us in and gave us a tour of our spacious apartment. Upon asking for restaurant recommendations he kindly called in a reservation at l'uliveto, an excellent Pizzaria! The next morning we awoke to the sound of the crashing surf and the remnants of the storm that we had driven through the night before. The view from our terrace was breathtaking. The silhouette of Sicily burst through the dark purple clouds across the stormy Mediterranean. After a leisurely brunch that we prepared in our fully equipped kitchen we sauntered our way to the bay below. The rugged stony bay is lined with fishermen's boats pulled out the wave's reach. The weather cleared and allowed us to spend many mornings sunning on our terrace while breakfasting with an amazing view of Etna. Our days found us adventuring from shore to shore across the Spectacularly Beautiful Calabrian landscape and nights on our terrace enjoying the sunset with a delicious dinner and a bottle of excellent Calabrian wine. Comfortable and spotless clean room. Beautiful location with unbeatable views of the sea, the coast and sunset. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had a great time during our stay.

The property was in excellent condition, apartment had stunning views, cleanliness was extremely good and we would definitely recommend this property to anyone. The host Saverio couldn’t have been more helpful!
