The location was exceptionally. Being able to cook your own meals with local produce was great, or if you want to go out, you are right in the heart of Lucca

The host was amazing. Very responsive even called us a taxi when needed. The space is very rustic and right in the center of a Main Street in the old walled city. The wine upon arrival was a great treat. The apartment has everything you need.

The only thing to be aware of if you are tall are the low ceilings and there is not an outdoor space. But that is all to be expected from the age and type of home. It didn't make a difference to us just something to be aware of. The 39 steps up to the apartment are doable even for old folks like us in our early 70s. We were able to take the luggage up and down. Be sure to check out the self guided wine bike tour it is amazing!

The atmosphere is brilliant. The property is quirky but every detail had been thought through. To see an old historic property in Lucca renovated with care and courage was amazing.
