El hecho de que tanga dos baños, aire acondicionado en dos de las estancias y la comodidad de la cama.

Nada destacable, quizá huele un poco a humedad pero no es para nada molesto y creo que es a nivel de toda la ciudad.

The standout was the exceptional, personal service of the host, who contacted me in advance to provide useful information about Porto. I found the location to be ideal - close enough to be convenient to the old town, Cedofeita, Boavista yet far enough away to be much more peaceful. Also, there are convenient laundry facilities in the building.

Based on 3 weeks stay, we’d recommend it! Firstly, host Maria is truly excellent, as other reviews make clear – met us on arrival, very helpful with information and concerned to make sure we had settled in, had what we needed etc. Very kind, provided fruit on arrival and even gave us a speciality confection at Easter. Helpfully, she lives just across the street should anything crop up (it didn’t for us, but reassuring). Secondly, location is great. A Walk to the centre of Porto is approx. 30 min. Buses stop 3-5 mins. away (Palacio Stop) for connections into town and to Campanha and Sao Bento railway stations as well as to outskirts destinations such as Serralves, Foz, Matosinhos. The airport bus (number 601, cost 2.25 Euros) also stops at Palacio in both directions, journey time circa 50 mins. The lovely Palacio Gardens are just around the corner. Supermarkets 5 and 10 minutes away. The street (Rua Miguel Bombarda) features some galleries and workshops. Restaurants & eateries also in vicinity (try the Churrasqueira Palácio, the Lebanese café Yalla Padaria, and - riverside - Papavinhos). Equipment-wise, the flat has everything you need and a garden which adds living space to the small apartment. There’s a laundry hut with washing machine in the garden. On some cooler mornings, the aircon and powerful bathroom heater were very welcome. Maria also retained some original features when restoring the property which adds to the charm. All in all, a great pied-à -terre from which to explore Porto and the wider area.

The cleanliness of the place as well as the garden that I believe will be perfect in the Summer months. It was centrally located and I was able to get to the main tourist attractions easily.

The bathroom at the entrance requires a glass cabin in order to prevent water from spilling out. If the entrance door could be made to stop letting in cold air, it would certainly help the bathroom from being cold.

A really lovely, cosy stay in Porto, a few minutes walking distance from the centre of the old town. Everything you need for your stay, including cooking facilities and a washing machine. As we were staying over a weekend, we managed to find free street parking very close by (free after 16:00 on Saturdays and free all day Sunday until 9:00 on Monday morning). Maria is a lovely host.

Full kitchen, central location, quiet street

No dryer, but there is a washer and clothes will air dry if no rush. Laundromat nearby so not a big deal.

Location, Comfortable bed and linens. Well stocked kitchen.

Excessive noise from subway construction next door from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Checked out early because we could not rest during the day due to construction noise next door.

Excellent location between the old and new parts of Porto. Spacious and comfortable apartment in a renovated old house. Host is very nice and responsive.

There was some noise from a metro construction site next door, but the host warned me about it and the noise really wasn't that loud, at least when I was home
