Palace House Apartment

Good location, in walking distance to the main sights. Equipment as described. Overall clean place! Fine for a short stay!

No option to open the windows in the two bedrooms, far too little wardrobe/storage space. Shower was leaking. Generally, the apartment needs some refursbishment.

This is a VERY well appointed apartment with new appliances and instruction manuals in an organized binder (but I think what appears as dishwasher in the ad should read washing machine). Dom Elisio, the apt mgr, was very helpful, especially with letting us leave luggage prior to entering apartment. It was nice (imperative) to have 2 separate bedrooms, so this worked well for us.

I think it should be made more clear that this property is in a medical office building (probably a refurbished medical office, is my guess). The windows need a lot of work, as we had water infiltration from above the window frames on one occasion when it rained hard (some water got on kitchen floor). Others have pointed out that it is noisy, but I stayed in a more residential area before in Porto and that was also loud (it's a biig Iberian city!).

Nice appartment, well furnished and very well located.

One big downside that drastically lowers my rating: the window frames are poorly designed and it feels like there are no windows at all. There are air draughts and above all a loud noise coming from the street. Pity.
