Best of sofia, new, clean, and more than we expected, don't think twice, take it.

We had to postpone our original stay when I developed Covid two days before and rather than forfeit the rental cost (we had paid in full by that point) we were able to move our visit to a later date at no extra charge! Instructions for checking in were detailed and clear, and although the entrance and stairway are unprepossessing, when we unlocked the door we were really impressed with the studio. It's a good size, nicely decorated and it had just about everything we needed for our stay. The bed was low but comfortable, and being at the side of the building it was quiet at night with no street noise - we slept very well. The bathroom is smart with an excellent shower, and both bathroom and main room have some of the best lighting I've come across in my travels! The little balcony is a nice bonus too. We were in walking distance of just about all the sights we wanted to visit and lots of restaurants too. It's about five minutes to the nearest Metro station with a direct line to the airport.

Not a criticism, as we loved the place, but a couple of suggestions. We'd have appreciate a bath mat (we had to use a folded hand towel), and it might be better/greener to provide wall-mounted large bottles of toiletries rather than the tiny ones. It's not the fault of the hosts but we were disappointed to find the next-door bakery, praised in other reviews, closed at present, so we had to go further afield for breakfast - but there's no shortage of options in Sofia!
