HM - Vagus Oporto House

Great location, close to local immenities and plenty of facilities and storage. Comfortable rooms and felt secure. Plenty of hot water and usable kitchen facilities. Nice styling throughout.

It was a little cold in the evenings (January), especially in the bedroom and the heating never really got very hot. The shower room could do with a little updating. Could have done with a few more written instructions - TV and heating operation etc.

The location was great, and the house itself was very comfortable and clean. A special thank you to Diogo, our contact for the property who could not do enough for you. He was very helpful and very accommodating at all times.

Nicely decorated, large living and bedroom areas, lots of wardrobe space, nice sofa bed, easy communication with the host. The best was its location, perfect for us (close to the main shopping street, supermarkets, transport, bars…).

The toilet is separate from the bathroom and on a lower floor, the steps in the hallway, the chairs are very uncomfortable and the mattress needs replacing. The street can get noisy overnight for light sleepers.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights at HM - Vagus Oporto House. Check-in process was contactless, communication and instructions from Beatriz were prompt and clear. The Home me team was also very responsive. We particularly liked how clean and spacious the apartment is and has all necessary amenities. The Continente supermarket is just a block away. Also, there is a car rental company on the other side of the street, which was really convenient for us for renting a car for our road trip. Great location overall. We highly recommend this place.

Wifi was great in the living room but was spotty (almost inexistent) in the bedroom.

The bed is super uncomfortable. Mattress seems to be old and needs replacing.

This condo is spacious, good layout and in a convenient location in relation to the core of Porto. It is adequately equipped and clean. It is important to note the location is on a very busy street and the bedroom windows face the street so it is noisy at night and if you open the windows the street noise is very loud at times. Plumbing worked fine, the appliances all worked, furnishings were typical of this type of rental. There are good restaurants close by plus the supermarket is convenient.

Our stay was for a full week (Nov-2023) and I feel that there could have been more towels and paper products supplied both kitchen and bath to accommodate the longer stay. When asked for more they wanted to charge extra. The included supplies were only for a few days. The other item that needs attention is the bed which is not comfortable, more like sleeping on a box spring plus I noticed a moldy smell so perhaps the mattress needs to be replaced.

The place is wonderfull to stay for a week or more (we stayed 2 weeks and the bed sheets and towels were replaced after one week!). Spacious, clean, very comfortable and very close to everything. Near by is the Campo 24 agosto metro and Continent supermarket, and also the Bolhao metro and the Bolhao market. If you are going to the aeroporto by metro there was an aeroporto train that passed at the 24 agosto station (no need to change at Trindade station).

For future consideration, the shower stall needs a shelf for the shampoo and soap.
