Apartments Villa Ida

Spotless clean, fully equipped in everything needed for a pleasant stay- washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, comfortable bed. Amazing and supportive owner - when I mentioned I would like to do the laundry- the washing powder was waiting for me! When I mentioned I must buy more coffee capsules- the owner brought them for us. When I mentioned I would like to do the pancakes for my baby - the owner brought the flour! Such a nice and helpful person, and a really nice apartment in a walking distance to the old town.

No hooks in bathroom to hold towels. No lights for reading in bed.

A good distance from the old town, maybe 20 minute walk along the water. The building itself is a lovely & on nice quiet grounds. There’s free parking. Good facilities for self catering, with lots of oils, balsamic, salt etc which people have left. There’s a washing machine which is really useful and an airer.

Every day we were woken around 7/7:30am, some days as early as 5:30am, by the family that live upstairs walking around and dragging chairs. As the bed was on a mezzanine this was especially loud. The same people would leave the building every morning around 8:30am and would talk loudly in the hallway, unfortunately our apartment had a vent next to the bed that went to this hallway. Our understanding was that this was the owners who live on site. On top of this, the room is very light at night from outside lights as not all the windows have blinds & some are broken, and the bed is not very comfy. Check in & out were via a key safe, which was a little tricky to do late at night with no lights in the area. The terrace is advertised as private but is used as a walkway for the apartment next door. Our washing and furniture was often moved out of their way. The beach is advertised as 150m away but is actually 650m away, you also have to walk along the road and it’s quite a small but very nice beach. The sheets on the main bed were dirty & has some bits in and stains when we arrived. Although advertised as having “free toiletries” the apartment had no hand wash or shampoo which was disappointing on arrival. We were told there was a safe but there wasn’t.

Excellent location near the marina and both ferryman crossing point and footbridge to the Old Town. Very comfortable appartment and superbly appointed. We appreciated little extras such as washing powder and notepad and pens, First Aid kit etc. Good amount of storage. Lovely old villa with pleasant garden to come back to after a hot day sightseeing.

Beautiful ancient building, well renovated interior and outside terrace. Convenient parking.

Wonderful atmosphere, it's like living in a small country house just behind the harbour. The host is really helpful and full of useful tips.
