Aachener Ferienwohnung

Alles hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war sauber und es gab alles, was man brauchte. Ich habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Parking is available on the street but development work meant that it was limited. It's quite a long way into Aachen. I went running two mornings on the Vennbahn, which starts nearby - highly recommended.

There were no issues with with apartment. But I didn't enjoy Aachen much. I understand that the Battle of Aachen in 1944 destroyed much of the city but I was disappointed with the museum relying on an app rather than artefacts to tell the story. The city lacked a vibe. Walk 100m from the Dom and there are no shops, food places, anything of interest.

The apartment is very roomy with a little corner kitchen. It is a studio apartment (all open no separate bedroom) but very spacious. The big windows let in a lot of natural light and everything was very clean. Even though it is right across the street from train tracks, if you close the window it is very quiet. The bathroom was spotless and I appreciated the hair dryer.

I wish there were at least coffee filters to use, if not coffee and tea in the kitchen. There also should have been a fan in the room since you cannot sleep with the windows open due to the trains. The bed and blankets were fine but the pillows were atrocious.
