Illyria Luxury Studio Apartments

Jose is an incredible host - absolutely the best! He met us at the ferry and helped us carry our luggage to the apartment. He provided an overview of Split and gave us an awesome list of restaurants. He recommended a rental car agency just a short walk away for the few days that we were driving up the coast and to the national parks. He bends over backwards for his guests - we actually stayed here twice during our time in Croatia and the second time he had cold beers waiting for us in the fridge when we returned. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and in the perfect location in the palace walls. Even though you are in the middle of a busy area we did not hear a single sound once we closed the door - the stone walls must provide super soundproofing. You will not find a more accommodating host in Croatia!

Nothing - it was perfect

This was our second time staying at the property during our trip - had a fabulous stay with an incredible host. Jose is the best! Apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable and close to everything! Super quiet for sleeping even though you are right inside the palace walls.

Nothing - everything was great.

The location was amazing. In the old city, just minutes from all major attractions. It was also amazing value. The accommodation is as pictured, newly refurbished and great for a couple or our four children who bunked in one studio by themselves. Our host Jose could not have been more amenable, full of recommendations and helpful tips. He was there to meet us at all designated times which was very comforting when you are in a foreign city.

Nothing. It does get light early in summer and whilst the studios have curtains it’s always best to have an eye mask on hand. It’s also close to the old city church which does chime on the hour :) Also worth noting is that the studios are on the 2nd floor. Not an issue for us but possibly for others.

Jose agreed to dress at the ferry and walked us all the way to the studio apartment and even helped carry our luggage. It is a very clean and beautifully appointed large studio. There is even a wall separating the living space from the bed area to allow two people to havesome solitude if they like. The location is right within the palace and easy walking distance from the ferry.

It was all terrific

Jose is truly generous that he walked us to the apartment from the bus terminal, introduced the area around, and provided a great restaurant list. We’re really satisfied with the apartment. Great location(at the town center), good sound insulation, comfortable room and very functional kitchen/ bathroom. Definitely recommend it.

No breakfast. Location was perfect. But they won’t clean every day even won’t give you clean towels every day. If you want clean towels you have to pay $2. But main problem is hot water after one person shower for second person not enough hot water after that you have to wait 2 to 3 hrs. That’s very disappointing.

Hot water problem. After one person showers you don’t have enough hot water for next person & in the bathroom their was a bad drainage smell. And no extra towels you have to pay.

Jose and his father were so friendly and helpful the entire stay! They gave us recommendations of where to eat, provided a quick tour of the nearby location, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment was spotless, and had lots of thoughtful touches like dishes/utensils, vanity kits/shower caps, maps of the surrounding area, etc. The location was perfect - very central and close to everything!
