Porta Aurea di Spalato, Luxury apartment

Absolutely gorgeous! Walking distance everywhere. Great hosts! Thank you for letting us stay in your awesome place.

Very nice owner and sparkling clean apartment. it was quiet because of good windows but we could occasionally hear loud vehicles. it was a short walk to grocery.

I would have liked more restaurants close by. it is a fairly long walk to the Riva but we expected that.

Cleanliness of the apartment and the mod-cons available

Jelena was the perfect host. It was very easy to communicate with here after the booking, the day of our arrival and during our stay. When we asked for advice for a boat trip, we received adequate information very rapidly. Just better than excellent. The apartment is a 15’ walk out of the tourist city center. Which is good because you avoid the crowds and the loud parties at night. The neighbourhood is really calm and quiet, even with a local cafe next door (which closes quite early). You really don’t hear a thing. It’s not the most residential district however. Expect an area with higher apartment lots. But that’s no problem honestly: you get a flavour of the couleur local and it’s safe. And there’s free parking around. People around are also very friendly! The apartment’s interior was recently renovated and is very well equipped. Everything as described. Think of it and it’s foreseen in the apartment (towels, coffee, some juice, chocolate, laundry tabs,…). Again, better than excellent. It’s a great hub to explore (food, great wines, sea, beaches, boat trips, nature at the Marjan Hill,…) in Split, South Dalmatia and its islands.

At first we were surprised by the district but it did not disturb at all. As said: you get a feeling with the local lifestyle.
