Maki Stone House - Parking on request !

The owner was really kind and friendly. The apartment is very cozy and convenient. Also, it’s really important for us that the apartment is calm and quiet. We think that’s super cool!

Wszystko tak jak na zdjęciach, byliśmy zachwyceni. Apartament czysty, pachnący, wyciszony wyposażony w niezbędne rzeczy. Blisko wszędzie, centrum, piekarnia i inne sklepy. Pobyt w apartamencie był cudowny, dawno tak się nie wyspałam :)

Parking -Slot für EUR 15 ist übertrieben. Man kann in den anliegenden Gassen ein kleines Auto gut parken.

The terrace had to be shared with another appartment.

Located in the western fringes of the old town, the place is about a 10 minutes’ walk from the Diocletian palace and the edges of the Marjan Hill park. The location also means it’s in the maze of narrow streets of the city centre, with little traffic but also with difficult driving and parking. If you travel by car, you can request one of two car parking spaces; parking here (which is charged extra) costs less than public parking, and means less of a walk with your luggage. For check-in you are given a PIN code to open a small locker in the entrance area, which contains your room key and – if booked – a remote control for the gate of the parking. The flats have a good size and are stylishly refurbished – they might well belong to a middle-class boutique hotel. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven plates, fridge, kettle, and even a dishwasher. The bathroom has a good size for one person (not for two, though…); a hair dryer is provided. The bed was comfortable; a single pillow type is provided. It is pretty quiet at night (well, depending on the behaviour of passersby on the street), so in principle you are in for a good night’s sleep. The owner will provide you with some recommendations for restaurants; tried some and was not disappointed…

Note that the place is at the end of a narrow cul-de-sac / dead end, meaning that you have to turn in these narrow streets to get out – no small feat depending on the size of your car. The wardrobe is probably a bit small for two (or even three), but presumably you are here for a short stay and won’t bring much clothing…? Note that the apartments each have their own water heater for your warm water in the shower; given it’s a tank, you will have to either use the warm water (very) sparingly, or the others have to wait until they have warm water again. Note also that one of the switches next to the bathroom door is actually not a light switch, but switches the power to the water heater; if you switch it off, you won’t have any warm water… The windows have shutters that keep the light out, but unfortunately the main door (which has glass insets) does not, so some light still gets in.

Everything was perfect. Excellent apartments with all necessary stuff 5 minutes walking to old town.

Wi-fi just inside apartments. If you want to sit outside close to the front wall of the apartments, wi-fi doesn't work.
