Apartamentos Deth Camin Reiau

Spacious, clean and cosy. The staff was really kind. The little shop downstairs provides the basic grocery, it’s really important as the closest supermarket is in next town.

The space was little too dark and the decoration quite old fashion.

The apartment we were moved to was nice and spacious, well equipped, nice view Arties is a nice town and a short drive up the mountain to the slopes. The initial room we were given (I asked for a quiet room) was VERY small, pokey and dark. It had no bath or balcony and the two single beds were separated with a bedside cabinet in the middle, albeit not far apart as the room was so small. Apparently the only other room available was a 2 bedroom on the second floor which was obviously more money. We had no choice but to pay extra although it was subsidised and she gave us parking under the building. I would have preferred a room like the ones advertised in the first place. They advertise a dressing room in the apartments. Neither room had a dressing room. Our new room was noisy. Arties is a busy town and this apartment block is on the main road. The glazing is not great. Cars pass on both roads all through the night. There is a knack to getting hot water which we managed by the end of the stay. Our kitchen sink smelt of rotting vegetables from time to time, the free car park they offer you is a main open car park 100 yards away. Their covered car park is 15€ a night. They have boot warmers but they were never on. The hairdryer they say is provided is not in the apartment but you can get one if you ask at reception. English wasn't spoken. We could have got Casa Irene for the same price we paid for the large apartment which is far superior. Only soap is provided

Not knowing the area, I booked this apartment onTravel Advisor. It proved to be an excellent choice. The village of Arties is a travellers delight. Many good restaurants and amenities, it is located about 10 minutes to Baquerias ski area. The accommodation,itself is delightful ,with all amenities and pristine. Wish I had discovered earlier that Spain had such great skiing.
