Lovely Apartment @ Aveiro's Downtown

Lovely spacious apartment in a very central location.

It needs a new double bed.

Location is really great, in the very centre. The flat is really big for two people. It also has central heating, which we did not need, but it is great to have as it gets cold in the evening. The building looks nice, the entrance and the halls are clean and safe. There is affordable parking garage nearby. A few cool retro pieces of furniture.

The unpleasant smell of dampness in the whole flat, mould in the bathroom, the cabinet under the bathroom sink stinks really bad and is water-logged, the bathroom doorframe is rotting. It was not properly cleaned, the tap is coated in scale. The mattress is ok, but the bedframe is horrible, bedrest is some makeshift board just leaning against the wall. The TVs don’t have any programmes. Nightstands are just two old chairs with old lamps on them, no outlets for charging your phone.

Location, facilites were superb! Apartment was in a good condition.

The accommodation was surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom apartment (even the bedroom if sharing as friends, as we did). First floor apartment in a secure building. Felt very safe. There are stairs or a lift available if needed to get up and down. Very cute, central location, with paid parking at reasonable price very close by (apparently there is some free parking available nearby but we found this much easier). There’s a decent sized local grocery store within a short walking distance that we were able to get some supplies, once we were settled. There’s also a smaller corner store, just a few doors down from the apartment. Perfect for our short stay but could easily have stayed there comfortably for longer. The host (and his father) were lovely and someone will meet you on your arrival at the property, but just make sure that you let them know what time you intend to arrive at the property in good time. We were able to reach the host easily via WhatsApp.

A spacious apartment in a convenient location.

The location is perfect, although, the it is important to note that this apartment faces the street and it can be quite noisy throughout the night. Normal voices talking carries and echos. We closed the windows and that made it better. There are plenty of coffee places, bars, restaurants within walking distance. Next door is a bike shop and we rented bikes one day. The town is absolutely beautiful with lots of old world charm. The apartment has a washer/dryer unit, and nice bathtub/shower that we took advantage of. It has plenty of space for 2 people to comfortably stay for several days.
