This gem of a place is absolutely beautiful. The views from the terraces are breathtaking. The whole unit is very homely and comforable. Martine made sure we were set up from the moment she met us. We loved the extra touches and the treats we were given. The information left on the table for us to read and plan our stay in Ypres was good to have available. The accommodation is situated in close proximity to access the Marketplace, town hall, church, and Menin Gate. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thankyou Martine for your kindness.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Martine's hospitality was outstanding and we honestly couldn't have asked for more. The apartment was a good size, super clean and very stylish with 2 fabulous great sized terraces. The bathroom was lovely with lush hand wash and surplus towels, should you need 😊 What a superb location, literally a stones throw from the centre and the parking was super easy. There is free parking about a 5-10 min walk away at the station but we remained directly outside the apartment as the cost wasn't too bad considering the proximity of the main square. You only have to pay from 09:00-18:00 Mon-Sat with the first 30-mins for free. The total cost for us from 16:00 Fri through to 18:00 Sat was around €9. The bottle of wine left for us by Martine was a welcome surprise too. Ypres is a lovely place to visit, very chilled, laid back and all the locals are very friendly. We did a lovely walk around the moat (forgotten what the route is called) and visited one of many WW1 cemetery's. Menin Gate you can see from the back terrace and is only 10-min walk away. Lots of nice eateries, ice cream shops, bars and frites vendors. A Spar shop just over the road too. Thank you, Martine for sharing your beautiful apartment and we will definitely stay again should we pay another visit. Highly recommend!

only downside was no TV

The apparent has everything that we needed including free Wi-Fi, although there is no TV you’re not there to catch up on Emmerdale! We where showed around the apartment and we were given a bottle of wine and there’s plenty of condiments to!

Parking! You can park outside but have to pay every 3 hours at 4.50 euros which can be a pain if you’re going to on a long walk or biking. There is free parking by the Lidl, over the road from Lille gate which is a brisk 15 minute walk but this is a minor inconvenience.

The bed was huge and really comfy! Location was great, walking distance to the Flanders Field Museum and also bars and restaurants. Martine was a great host, she met us at the apartment and made sure we were settled in. She also left us some delicious homemade apple juice. The views were lovely, you could see the menin gate from the bedroom window and the apartment was lovely and warm. There was free parking at the train station which is just under 10 min walk from the apartment.

The neighbours downstairs were a little noisy at times, mainly when we were sat quietly reading but never at night or in the morning. We live in an apartment at home so we are used to it!!

We booked spontaneously last minute but Martine was very quick to repond and welcome us. The apartment is lovely, clean, well appointed and in a fabulous location. Welcoming details such as wine, water, juice ect. were appreciated. Would highly recommend this apartment.
