Marcel Zadar Old Town

The property was in a perfect location right in the middle of the old town with easy access to all the shops and restaurants etc. It was tastefully decorated and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The bed was comfy, and the room was air conditioned which was definitely required during our stay, as it was very warm. We were greeted by the owner upon arrival, which was a welcome surprise as I’m not sure we’d have found the apartment so quickly had it not been for him meeting us. We were extremely grateful as our flight had been delayed, so it was about 10pm by the time we arrived and it was lovely to be greeted in such a friendly and welcoming way. The owners were always contactable and responded very quickly to any messages we sent. I’d forgotten to bring something and needed to know where to go to buy it, so I messaged Lydia the owner and she responded almost straight away with directions to where I could locate it. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. We will definitely return in the future as we loved it there so much, and the property was simply perfect.

Right in the middle of Zadar city center, clean and cozy apartment, totally recommend.

In order to get to the bathroom, you have to cross the bedroom - which was not that convenient with a sleeping baby

Really well located , was a very pretty apartment had everything you could need and very close to everything great for walking around the old town. Host Lidia was lovely and very friendly, made many suggestions and was always available .

Well equipped with thoughtful touches, like some welcome bottles of wine and beer and nibbles, plus a great coffee maker. Tiny balcony looking out over the backs of houses. Very comfortable and not too hard to find.

Unfortunately we were above a local bar/cafe for locals which became quite noisy mainly during the day. It closed fairly early thankfully. It also backed on to a couple of restaurants with a bit of noise there too. I could smell cigarette smoke in the bathroom which must have come up from the bar below. Double glazing kept most of the noise out. Be aware of taxi drivers from bus station (possibly airport too) charged 30 e for a very short trip. Use Uber if you can
