Apartment Casa Thuja

Liebevoll gepflegtes Haus und Grundstück, freundlicher Empfang mit frischen Blumen und Willkommenskärtchen, hilfsbereite und fürsorgliche Gastgeber. Es wäre sehr schade, wenn dieses kleine, aber feine Quartier nicht mehr verfügbar wäre.

Nahe am See, sauber, Bus nach Ascona und Locarno 2 Fussminuten entfernt, sehr ruhige und schöne Umgebung, sogar Balkon vorhanden.

Richard greeted us on arrival and showed us around our apartment. It was very hot during our stay but the fan in our room kept us cool before bedtime and we left the door open for cool breezes. The beds were comfortable. The view of the mountains was awesome. We spent a lot of time on our balcony gazing at it! We particularly welcomed a well-stocked kitchen and some sharp serrated knives perfect for cutting fresh tomatoes! We could not quite believe just how quiet the neighbourhood was, though we were there over a holiday weekend. We enjoyed buying fresh bread and pastries from the bakery 5 minute walk away. And the No.1 bus stops only 5 minute walk away too, and of course, the punctuality of the Swiss transport system is the best in the world! Thank you to you both for a wonderful stay, and to Andre for excellent communication beforehand.

It would have been nice to see our hosts half way through our week's stay, though we did appreciate the privacy given to us (and Marianne sang to us beautifully!). We did have to guess some of the information. It would be a simple addition to put a small folder with simple instructions in, for example, to say that toilet rolls are available from the guest cupboard on the landing.

The Bed was not the most comfortable

The apartment was neat and clean. The host were good and they tried their best to make our stay comfortable.

The facilities were not available as they were written in the description. Some problems like, toilet sheet was broken, keys were not working in some doors. No proper check in instructions were given by the owner.
