Casa Almagio - Atrani Amalfi coast - terrace & seaview

The view and terrace was amazing and the air con kept the place very cool. Close walk to the beach and to Amalfi which was easy to get around

Many stairs which was hard carrying heavy suitcases up but the view was worth it. Toilet seat was also broken

Beautiful town, beautiful view. As described by the property and many reviews, there are indeed many stairs, but this is part of the charm, if you like that sort of thing, as the path to the house is narrow, old and interesting. Very easy to walk to Amalfi and/or the bus stop in Atrani which easily takes you to other places on the coast. Nice restaurant in the square, and the atmosphere there is very pleasant and friendly.

There are plenty of beds, but these are in the shared living rooms, and the middle room must be walked through to reach the bathroom, which is very small and has a small door. We stayed with our small children, so it was not a problem.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable and in winter the room is a little bit cold.

Would prefer a proper bed, not a sofa bed, for this price.

The view and terrace are definitely the highlight. 160 steps up with heavy luggage is a small price to pay for that view. Property was clean and simple. Air conditioning was great and even though it was a hot day, we never felt hot.

Lots of low doorways and passageways, but it’s a small town and old house so totally understandable!

The views were absolutely stunning from the balcony. Atrani was a lovely quiet area but within 10 minutes walking distance to the busier Amalfi town.

It is quite a walk up the steps from the town to the apartment which is detailed in description. It can be a difficult trek up if you have a large suitcase.

The views from the main window and terrace areas were absolutely stunning. The apartment was very spacious and authentic.

There were some 200+ stairs to get to the apartment; there are steep stairs inside the apartment- not conducive for children or persons with mobility or general fitness issues. There was a ‘hidden’ cleaning cost of 60euros - whilst this was mentioned in a lengthy communication AFTER booking, we didn’t see it, and it was not mentioned in the Booking.com apartment costs when it should have been. This was the first time we have been charged like this in years of travel in Europe through Booking.com.

The location of the property was outstanding. We found the office in Atrani easily after a 10 min walk from Amalfi from the ferry. Luca and another staff member Vincenzo were easy to deal with and check in was easy. Vincenzo then led us up the stairs to our apartment. We knew it was a lot of stairs when we booked but it is worth every step to get the view. A tip would be to bring smaller bags to make it easier. The apartment was well equipped with cooking and laundry facilities which made it easy to cook and wash clothes whilst there. The views are breathtaking and to have your own private terrace to enjoy is another great reason to stay here. The town has a great choice of smaller restaurants, small supermarket and beach but still only 10 min walk into Amalfi for more shops/restaurants and the ferry to anywhere on the Amalfi coast. We highly recommend this place if you want to escape the crowds but still be close to everything you need.
