Design 1BDR Apartment in Top Center

The location is perfect and on a calm street. Parking is not big but it is a great bonus. The flat had everything we might have needed for 1 night.

The main negative here is the communication with the managing company. They are not very consistent in their messages and we had to ask for the code to enter and wait a bit in the rain to receive it. They asked several times the same questions via booking, phone and mail... lots of time lost for nothing

The only good thing about this property was the location.

Our experience with this apartment was extremely disappointing. First, when we arrived, we didn’t have the code for the key box and had to wait outside in -9°C with our kids for 30 minutes. The management was completely unresponsive—we tried calling them at least 10–15 times with no answer. We had to contact the app’s customer service just to get inside. On top of that, the key box is hidden in a bush, making you feel like you’re solving an escape room puzzle just to get in. The so-called “parking lot” is not a proper asphalted space but a patch of land between trees behind the apartment . It’s extremely tight, not suitable for larger cars, and requires serious driving skills to get in and out especially in winter minus temperatures where everything is frozen. Now, about the apartment itself—it looks nothing like the photos. I’d suggest the owner pays their photographer a big bonus because the reality is vastly different. Our first impression was terrible: spiderwebs in every corner, thick dust everywhere, and an overall dirty feeling. The bathroom towel was stained and looked used. I made the mistake of walking around barefoot in white socks, and within minutes, they turned black from the dirt on the floor. The amenities were disappointing and felt cheap. The listing mentioned a coffee machine, but there wasn’t one—just an empty box of instant coffee. The sofa was old and worn out, the mattress was uncomfortable, and the pillows were small, thin, and awful. Another major issue was the curtains. The sheer and blackout curtains were mounted on the same rail, making it impossible to fully close the blackout curtains. Since the apartment is on the first floor, this meant we had zero privacy—anyone outside could see in. The bathroom was a disaster. It was so small that it barely qualified as a bathroom. There was no shower cabin, just a shower head that sprayed water all over the toilet and floor.

We enjoyed the short stay. Very convenient for the center of Sofia, it's next to NDK. Lots of places to eat or have a drink nearby. We didn't use the metro, but it's very close to a metro station. If you are traveling with a car, the parking is as good as it gets for central Sofia. Check in and communication with the hosts was spot on, very responsive for everything. Would definitely use it again.

The place is great for a short stay and perhaps for people with children. We were 3 adults and the couch was OK for 1 night but not good if you have to stay several days. The privacy is also limited between the two rooms (mainly in terms of sound). So this downside applies only to larger groups.

The location is perfect, close to shops and restaurants. Has free parking, which is hard to find in the city center. The apartment had everything we needed and we will definitely try and book it again the next time we will be in Sofia.

Maybe also have a hairdryer, but it's not a must have.
