Ocean View one bedroom cozy apartment

The place was nicer than maybe the pictures show. The Kitchen had everything you need and location was a 20 min walk out from Keel itself which was ok for us.

Charming apartment, in fact it's a stand-alone small 2-storey building. Very private. Lovely host lady lives in neighbouring house. Well equipped kitchen. Parking. Courtyard with little patio table, lined on 2 sides by flowers and shrubs. Home from home. Short drive in either direction to main attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Although the wifi signal for the apartment itself showed as strong, the supplied password didn't work. Not easy to find the entrance from the street when first arrived, but fine after that. The apartment wasn't entirely designed for tall people like myself, - but very charming nonetheless. The booking.com photos in May 2025 didn't do it justice, because the apartment is nicer than those photos.

It was perfection. Super cute, comfortable, full of lovely touches.

Location was ideal-with gorgeous views- and it was so nice having such a fully equipped kitchen with utensils at hand

There was everything we needed at this property and it was very quiet and private. Carmel the hostess was very welcoming and sent us a couple of emails before our stay which was very thoughtful. As mentioned, on arrival, Bella the dog was the meet and greet. The property is about a 20 minute walk to both Keel and Dooagh, which is the location of the restaurants and pubs. Both villages are small and pretty.

Although the property had everything we needed, down to house shoes and dressing gowns, it was tired and in need of a deep clean and a lick of paint. My husband thought the bed was uncomfortable and didn’t sleep well. Bella the dog was friendly and placid but obviously spoiled by all the guests who stay there. She scratched the window and barked in at us almost all the time we spent in the living area. I’m an early riser and she did wake my husband up each morning, barking. In the end I had to block the window with plants and chairs. If you do not like dogs, this is not the place for you! Regardless,we had a lovely stay on Achill and we were made very welcome by the host and Bella. The price was very reasonable but the rating, in our opinion ,did not meet our expectations.
