Vt Uribarri en el corazon de Bilbao

Great location in a local neighbourhood without tourists. Supermarket, green grocer and butcher across the road; also lots of small local bars. Metro Urribarri (exit Escuelas de Uribarri Plaza) literally around the corner. Old Town 10 mins walk, Guggenheim 20 mins walk along the river. Apartment very nice with fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. Host was easy to reach on WhatsApp.

One of the other apartments in the same block had a dog that kept on barking (we think when the owner was not there). But that is no fault of the apartment or our host.

Great location. Easy to get around Bilbao.

Great and spacious flat with all the amenities in the perfect location and just a stone's throw from the Old Town and the New Town across the river. We were promptly greeted at the property upon arrival and the handover went smoothly.

A bit noisy due to neighbours but I guess there is nothing the flat owner could do about that.

The location was good.

Horrible. We were not able to have a stable source of electricity since the power kept going off. We contacted the hosts after two nights and requested a refund for the remaining nights (we had about a week left). The hosts told us the problem was the water heater and that we probably had too many things connected, although we had already tried to disconnect anything we could and NOTHING else was on. They told us we should just keep turning the water heater on and off whenever we needed it. They strung us along, gave excuses for why it wasn't a problem and it was us who were the prpoblem, then stopped responding when i insisted on the refund. They only replied again after we told them we were going to contact booking, and only to tell us they would not refund us for the remaining days, even though he had a week left. We only wanted to leave and find decent accomodation, we couldnt and it ended up ruining our stay. We payed for this house to be able to work while we visited the city, be comfortable, cook, do laundry... and were unable to anything. Couldnt cook since the oven woud shut off the electric power in the whole apartment. and the stove was also electric. It was very coukld and raining, and I coulndt even dry my hair. We would be just sitting on the couch and all the lights would go off, the router would have to initialize.....it was all arounf a huge bother. It even happened when we werent home, on several days we would come home to no power, we had several food in the fridge that went bad because of this, food left to defrost for hours until we returned and turned the power on. Additionally, the dishwasher smelled, the hosts supplied us with the same toiletries as if we were staying fot 2 nights and not 10... 2 or 3 rolls of toilet paper and a micro bottle of dish soap. There was also dirty oven trays in the drawer. the power issue might be better during summer...DO NOT VISIT during winter, as it probably has something to do with the heating.
