This is a little gem! I can't believe we got this apartment for such a low price! It was tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and absolutely spotless. Everything is about your comfort- from the personalised welcome message on the door, to the generous stock of teas, coffee and water. We even had a gift waiting for us in the fridge! The beds were really comfortable and ee all had a really good sleep there. There is a wealth of information on things to do in Bruges, and Heidi recommended Albert's for warm waffles and she was right, they were delicious! You could walk right to the centre of Bruges in about 25 minutes, a lovely walk- it's very flat and easy- or hire a bike from the property and get there in 7 minutes. This was the first time in Bruges for us- but it won't be the last. And we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

We liked everything but there are a couple of things to think about when booking- if you have difficulty with stairs, let them know and book well in advance so you can have one of the lower apartments. We were right at the top and we had stairs inside up to the bedrooms too, but we have no issues with stairs so it wasn't an issue for us. Also, there is a lovely restaurant and a pizza place within 5 minutes of the property, but you do have to walk about 15 minutes for anything else- there is, however, an honesty shop at the property so you will have everything you need.

A bit too far from the centre. 30 mins walk to main square. Stairs are a hazard and I doubt you’d get away with these in the UK. Beds where not the best OK for 2 nights but a week would have been a pain the in the back

The narrow stairs from the bedroom were a bit tricky in the night if you needed the bathroom.

It was a great stay, the apartment is very nice, clean and cozy. The location is great for walking around Bruges. I highly recommend it.

The apartment was nicely decorated, and the owners were really helpful. Fans were provided, and we were glad of them, as the apartmet is at the top of the house and became very warm. Although we did not use it, the honesty shop is a lovely idea. Basic kitchen items were provided (salt, pepper, herbs, oil) as well as shampoo, etc. The location was perfect for a daily walk into town, and the view of the canal was lovely. 10 minutes walking will take you to the windmills: one of them was actually working when we visited. We enjoyed our stay.

The apartment stairs were concerning, with a very narrow step at the very top of the staircase. I decided to sleep downstairs as I thought I might fall while going downstairs in the middle of the night. The bottom 2 stairs were very 'squeeky' and woke the family regularly. There was very little headroom in the upstairs bedrooms, and my son hit his head a couple of times on the supporting beam. The bath has no hand rail, and is very high sided (I am only 5' 1" and I struggled to climb in!) There needs to be a rubber bath mat to prevent slipping in the bath. An iron was listed in facilities, but we could not find one.

Didn’t get to see it

Owner called and cancelled booking on the day we were meant to stay. Owner blamed booking.com for double booking. Booking.com blamed owner and said they had availability. Either way terrible experience and will never use booking.com again due to terrible customer service.

Spacious bathroom, nice honesty shop, two beers and ice in fridge, fitted our needs

We visited on the hottest day of the year, there's no aircon but there are fans.
