Kids loved the bed

We enjoyed the dog friendly, relaxed and comfortable self catering apartment. Also loved the self serve pint facility and available DVDs/games in all the communal areas. The location is also great for some of the best walks in the area as long as you have your own transport.

The house itself is beautiful with large grounds and plenty of parking. The apartment we stayed in was large enough for nine of us with plenty of space to relax on comfortable sofas and a good kitchen and dining area. The house was ideally located for local walks without driving elsewhere.

Our bedrooms and bathrooms were in the basement so had little light and were fine but did feel a bit colder main living space.

Hargate Hall was luxurious. It was like stepping back in time whilst accompanied by modern day comforts. Our apartment was homely and we had complete privacy, giving us the feeling that we had our own personal part of this incredible historical home. Anthony gave us the comfort that, whilst being given an independent and personal experience, he was on hand for any help, advice and support that we might have needed. The grounds are beautiful! The location has the benefit of being isolated enough for peace and tranquility while also being very well connected to Peak District hot spots and nearby towns providing everything you might need for day to day necessities. A unique experience, a luxury home away from home.
