Jackies Studio Apartment

We were met by Jackie and shown to the apartment. She took time to show us everything. A great studio apartment that was exceptionally clean and well equipped for any level of self catering if needed. The Nespresso machine was an added bonus. Located just minutes from Cairns Central shopping centre and the Cairns railway station. An easy ten to fifteen minute walk and we were on the waterfront where there are lots of great restaurants. Perfect accommodation we will definitely use again. Thanks Jackie

Loved the pool and BBQ area, location was awesome, close to plaza . Was welcomed on arrival, fantastic basket of goodies awaiting in the room. Awesome!!!!

Only one morning we heard a truck next door, not a problem , went back to sleep.

Nice compact apartment. Plenty of coffee and tea provided (including a coffee machine). Comfortable bed. For self-catering very handy to Cairns Central shopping centre, and very close to the railway station which was important as we were leaving town on a train at 6:30am. The Esplanade and the beachfront promenade are about 4 blocks walk away, quite an easy stroll.

Nothing the owner could do, but the apartment is right next to the Officeworks loading bay. From the balcony you could see over the carpark to the city beyond. Being close to a commercial business is not in itself a problem, but deliveries at 7am or earlier involving multiple shuttling backwards (beep, beep beep) and forwards by a forklift made having a lie-in difficult.

The location was excellent, as it was close to supermarkets and a short walk into the centre of town. I like to self cater and the kitchen was set up to make this easy. It was quiet and had a nice balcony where I could sit and enjoy the pleasant weather. I wanted a rest after an energetic trip and was able to have that. The bed was very comfortable. I regarded the apartment as well priced. There are pools and laundry facilities available on site.

The location overlooking a loading dock might be noisy during the day on week days. This was not a problem as my stay was at the weekend but it's not a scenic outlook.

Immaculate property. The games and movies provided are a nice touch. The choice of towels were great, best ones I've ever seen in a hotel and it was lovely to have separate ones for the pool. Very thoughtful. The property itself is very clean and Jackie went out of her way to help us with both check in and out. Everything in central Cairns is within walking distance and there is a big shopping centre right next door. Would stay again for sure.

The balcony does look out onto the Officeworks loading bay as mentioned in other comments. This can be slightly noisy on weekdays but it didn't really bother us, the noise is only for a short while in the morning from our experience. We were happy to be up and getting on with our day so a non issue for us but worth noting for others.

Well appointed property, very close to Cairns Central shopping centre and train station and walking distance to the Esplanade and Marina for entertainment and eateries. Easy to get to and good car parking. Jackie was lovely and very accommodating.

A little noisy from next door apartment and extremely noisy very early (5.30 - 6am) on weekday mornings from the delivery trucks for the Office Works next door. Despite having lived in the tropics for many years and knowing you get bugs, there did seem to be quite a few in the apartment, however, there was flyspray and plenty of cleaning products in the apartment to use.

Very noisy from apartment which is adjacent to loading dock of commercial business “Officeworks”. Woken both mornings by trucks reversing into loading dock with their reversing alarms before 6.30 am both days then noise of trucks being unloaded & people speaking & moving forklifts & trolleys. One morning skip bin being emptied at 6.15am woke us up, no chance of getting back to sleep as the delivery trucks are there before 6.30am. These truck movements continued until 6.30pm both days. Added bonus was when you did want to open the balcony doors you were subject to the cigarette smoke from the staff having their breaks in the loading dock. One doesn’t expect a view when on holidays but one does expect a decent nights sleep & certainly not being subjected to a noisy & smoke ridden loading dock as their main view from balcony & bedroom. Added bonus, you are only 500m from the noise of a busy highway. This apartment could at least do with double glazing rather than a painting ineffectively trying to hide noise from the non glazed shutter behind it.
