Apartamento Animalia

Location great! Bright, clean airy apartment. This was our second time staying there and we were not disappointed, we would certainly return. Liked that there was soap, washing up liquid and cloths provided.

The bed was VERY squeaky and meant disturbed sleep. A dishwasher would be nice. Also a teapot would be very useful.

I can mark only two good things: location and equipment of the apartment. Altought the apartment is in the very heart of the city, it’s placed in a narrow street where is really quiet.

The apartment needs to be renovated: all the walls are with the living marks, that’s take away all the cosiness. There is a strong musty smell, humidity is also felt everywhere, especially in the bedroom, where are musty marks on the wall. By the way, starting with apartment’s policy, the rules sent from a host, and with all the warnings and special rules put everywhere in the apartment we felt very unwelcome and unpleasant in the apartment like nowhere else in Andalusia during our four weeks trip. I understand that the company wants tenants left the property without any damage and tries to insure with metioned mesures, but the way how they do so is truly unacceptable. Personally I don’t have any bad feelings (we haven’t been charged for anything) and I just want and hope that this comment will help the host to improve it’s services.

In short, bring some extra energy to your stay to meticulously document and communicate all smaller damages upon arrival at the flat. Our stay at the flat was generally nice. Everything was new and well, except a damaged TV stand, a loose closet door, and a loose drawer. Our decision to highlight and communicate the TV stand damage was influenced by the perceived value of the television, assuming it would exempt us from associated charges. Regrettably, our failure to meticulously document and communicate pre-existing minor damages proved to be a costly oversight. They charged us for fixing the flat. This experience underscores the importance of thorough initial inspections and communication regarding any observed smaller damages, no matter how seemingly trivial.

The apartment was very well situated, had everything one needs, was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The entrance system worked well

The humidity smell was too strong in the bedroom we couldn't close the windows to sleep, it was so bad we had to keep them open, and the air-conditioning didn't help. There was no oven.

The location is okay for a good night's sleep, no noises of people partying outside. However, some nights around 4 o clock, they make a lot of sound in the street with the garbage containers. This woke me up almost every night. The appartment is very clean and the airconditioning worked perfectly. The bed gave me neckpain but was otherwise okay and looked very cool with the lights and the headboard. You cannot shower too long or the water will turn cold. The staff however were very attentive and friendly to explain everything.

The property was really nice and located in the historic centre, everything was close by. Our apartment was clean, modern and the kitchen fully equipped so enjoying a homemade meal is a nice option to have if you’re visiting for a few days.

Communication is all through WhatsApp and did work well, however I did not like the fact of having to uploading a photo of our document numbers and a photo of yourself and also needing a App to open the door. These uploads are susceptible to fraud and the app tracks your whereabouts.

Location was great, just a couple minutes from Catedral de Cadiz and Plaza de San Juan de Dios. Easily walkable to any part of Cadiz. The apartment itself was clean and all facilities were great. It exceed our expectations and we loved it.
