Seaview Famara 2

Very comfortable flat, good location. Host was very friendly and gave all details of access to the property well in advance.

The shower in the bathroom tended to be blocked up quite quickly. Wifi working well in the living room, but not working in the bedrooms.

The apartment is really well located in the centre of Caleta Famara overlooking the sea and just a short walk to the beach, grocery and surf shops, and many resteraunts. It has been refurbished to a high standard - we loved it, such a pleasure to have a sea view. The windows are well sound insulated so it is quiet at night without the sound of crashing surf if you sleep lighly. Zoe was efficient messaging us prior to arrival and her business partner Jorge (who manages the maintenance) was very friendly when he visited to oversea a maintenance repair to the balcony ballustrade. Caleta Famara is one of my favourite spots on the island and if the surf isn't good at Playa Famara (eg northerly winds) you can head west or east to other parts of the island and almost always find somewhere to surf elsewhere within a relatively short drive - depending on your abilty level as some spots are NOT for beginners! For beginners Arrieta beach is good too and is sheltered from most northerly winds (certainly north and north westerly).

There were absolutely no condiments left from any former occupants - not even salt or pepper so I had to buy everything just to do basic cooking. Normally appartments have the basics like salt, pepper and maybe some oil at least. Also there is no dedicated wetsuit driying rack or hanger which would be really helpful - but hardly any accomodation ever provides this! However you can hang wetsuits off the balcony ballustrade - though be careful on a windy day.

Perfect location: Beach 20 meters, shop 50 meters, bars 50 meters, surf rentals 50-100 meters. The whole town is super relaxing, you can go out and explore the island or take surf classes and then sleep like a baby in this apartment. And on the next day? Repeat of course! Hosts are kind and easy to communicate with!
