Appartmenthaus Bergfreund

The apartment was fully equipped. The location was great if you look for being quiet.

The location requires going to Fiesch for groceries. We overestimated that point, especially traveling with a 3 yr old kid. The communication with the staff was not easy as we don’t speak German.

Outstanding view

The public areas like the entrance and the hallway had a very unpleasant smell of cigarettes. Airing out the room was not enough to evaporate the smoke smell. I think the sheets only get washed if a previous guest removes them and piles them in the bath to get them laundered. Otherwise, sheets that have been on the bed ready for guests don’t get washed again and so they absorb the smell, Our friend who joined us on our holiday had a hard time sleeping because the sheets smelled like cigarette smoke. We suspect that guests don’t stay up in the loft that frequently. We stayed in Alp Öhi. The furniture is oriented such that the sofa faces the kitchen when it really should face the window or perhaps be switched with the dining table. The fabric of the sofa smelled like cigarettes too.
